Dolphins youth football is open to all boys and girls ages 5 -14 as of August 1st the year they will be playing. No high school students are allowed to play.

 

Dolphins Football will field the following five teams this season:

6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U

 

Roster may be limited to 28-32 players on a first come basis

 

2019 DATES:

July 29th - 1st day of practice (shorts only)

Aug 5th - 1st day full pads

Aug 17th - Kickoff classic

Aug 24th - Week #1 games

Oct 26th - Week #10 games - make-ups or shootouts

Oct 27th - League playoff meeting

Nov 2nd - Playoffs Round #1

Nov 9th - Playoffs Round #2

Nov 16th - Championship Games

Nov 23rd - All-Star Game (alternate weather date - 12/7)

 

Park transfers:

Player transfers will not need to have a form signed this season from the old park. Parks are responsible to let the league know if any departing player owes money or equipment to the park they are transfering from. Players will not be allowed to transfer to another park in our alliance if they owe money or equipment.

Team Placement by Age:

“Playing up" will not be allowed. Safety is our top priority, second is the quality of the GBSA football program. Having all players play within the proper age groups designated will ensure that both goals are achieved.  Please support our park by supporting this idea.

 

Coaches:

 Head coaches will be chosen by the GBSA football commissioner by the end of March. It is then the prerogative of the head coach to form his coaching staff. Football commissioner will help connect interested coaches with the team’s head coaches. The final coaches’ roster will be approved by the football commissioner and then approved by the GBSA Board prior to the season.
  • All coaches will be certified through the USA Football Heads Up Football Training.
  • All coaches will have a current background check performed.

 

Registration:

Registration April-May

*Players registered by end of May will be able to select specific jersey numbers and sizes.

Late Registrations are allowed with a $10 late fee, but jersey size and numbers are not guaranteed.

Registration will close late July or earlier as teams reach player cap limits.

Registration Fees:

$175.00 + annual GBSA family fee if not already paid in the last year.

$5.00 fee if you live outside the 32561 zip code

$10.00 late fee after May 31st

Fee covers: Game jersey and socks, plus use of helmet and shoulder pads.

 

Equipment:

Each player will be issued a helmet and shoulderpads. These are on loan from the GBSA and will be tracked. Players will not be allowed to sign up for other GBSA sports if equipment is not returned at the end of the season.
